Bloody Summer Camp Kickstarter Launches

Slasher 15 Films, a low budget film company located out of central Virginia has launched a Kickstarter for their 3rd film Bloody  Summer Camp.

The film takes place in 1986 at a summer camp named Camp Trustfall. One week before camp opens, the staff are preparing the camp for the kids when counsellors begin to go missing. Someone sporting a leather devil mask is hacking the campers one by one in true 80’s slasher style! The film features only practical effects, once again paying a homage to the films that it draws inspiration from.

Slasher 15 creator and owner Dave Kerr is looking for people to help get the project off the ground. “Like our previous two films Curse of the Slasher Nurse and Return of the Slasher Nurse, Bloody Summer Camp will be largely funded by a crowdfunding campaign which will take place on Kickstarter in May. We will release our full pitch trailer at the premiere screening of our film Return of the Slasher Nurse on May 18th and that will be when our crowdfunding campaign will begin. It will be an all or nothing campaign and our minimum goal is $10,000. We are hoping to exceed that goal and reach $15,000 but $10,000 is the minimum we need to secure the camp and filming necessities. The film will be filmed at Camp Holiday Trails in Charlottesville, Virginia.  Including in our $10,000 budget will be the special appearance of a horror icon. We have not settled on who yet and if we exceed our goal, we may featured multiple icons”.

Crowdfunding perks will include packages that feature autographs by the horror celebrity as well as larger perks that could feature appearing in a scene with said celebrity. There are producer credits up for grabs as well as t-shirts and exclusive DVD’s and Blu-Rays only available for contributors.

Slasher 15 films always feature the 3 B’s of horror. Blood, boobs and bad decisions, so if this sounds like something you want to get involved with then head over to their Kickstarter page and get pledging

We will keep you up to date with all progress as we get it, and a review of the film will be up after completion.
